We’re not hiring today. But we’re building a shortlist, and when a role opens we’d rather call someone who already put their hand up than start from scratch.

Who we’re after

Qualified plumbers and subcontractors.

Normac is a family-run commercial hydraulic and civil plumbing contractor working for builders and developers across Melbourne’s south-east. Base build, civil drainage, trade waste, tanks, wet fire, fit-outs.

We take on packages we can resource properly and turn down the ones we can’t. That means the work is scoped before it starts, the drawings are read before anyone is on site, and nobody is chasing their tail because a job was won on a guess. If that sounds like the opposite of your last few months, we’d like to hear from you.

What we look for

The basics, and then the things that matter.

Non-negotiable

  • Current VBA plumbing licence or registration
  • Public liability insurance (subcontractors)
  • White card and current tickets for the work you do
  • Own tools and reliable transport
  • Right to work in Australia

What sets people apart

  • Commercial or civil experience
  • Can read a set of drawings properly
  • Raises problems early, not at handover
  • Leaves a site clean
  • Talks straight with builders and other trades
